Jim,

A very simple way to use two radios with 2 antennas is with a reversing switch.
This can be made with a DPDT relay. This way both radios have antennas and
they can be reversed with a toggle switch.

My station in NJ was set up with reversing relays at several points in the
system. The key/mike/earphones on one, the xcvrs on the next and the 2 amps on
the third to the two towers. With this setup, switching between two bands is
instantaneous and can be done between dots (carefully). There was a control
panel with red/green LEDs to indicate the path in use.

Care need be exercised with the degree of coupling between antennas as receiver
front ends can be blown out. If measurements indicate excessive RF on one or
two bands, this can be avoided with auto switching stubs and/or bandpass
filters.

George
