Hello, all --

I am doing research on rotators and need your help. The Hy-Gain and
Yaesu rotators have been covered pretty well previously but I don't know much
about the Create and Emoto models. If you have any direct experience with
any of them, please send me your comments - positive and negative. I'm
interested in things like what broke and when, parts availability, repair
availability, ease of use, control box, bolt pattern compatibility, special
tools or parts needed, general hassles, etc.

Thanks in advance for your help.

It's time to go QRO for the PA QSO Party and other mobile contests. Would
appreciate information/recommendations/sources/other useful information on
500 watt-class 12 volt amps. Please reply direct. Many thanks.

See you in FD from K8HVT/M from sailboat in Long Island Sound.

Subject: QSL cards and call signs...

For the guys who are following the QSL thread: Anyone have a QSL from
ham station RAEM ? (Hint: It was originally a ship's call, then given to
someone as
an official Amateur Radio call sign.)

One of MY fave QSL cards is one that Nose, KH6IJ, handwrote for me in
Japanese ideograms for an 80-meter low-power CW QSO. Nose was a very neato
guy!

Some of the guys who used to operate at multi-multi station W4BVV (Tom,
W4BVV, now an SK) went through Tom's incoming QSLs one time. Tom didn't
QSL. Period. They tried to put together a DXCC of cards that said (to an
ordinary, plain-old, common, W4) "PSE QSL" on them. They got up to almost
90 ("PSE QSL") countries before they got tired of the effort and quit. Now
THAT would be a great bunch of cards to submit for DXCC!

Oh, I just realized that all three of these hams whose QSLs I've
mentioned (and which I have) are Silent Keys!

Oh, yeah; does anyone have a QSL from M1M ?
(Hint: It was a 1963 era contest call sign...)
