I don't know if this is the right place to post this, but I have been
watching the posts on this list for about a month and it seems like everyone
knows tons about other amateur radio resources that are available.

My 9 year old son and I have been studying for the Tech-Plus licence exam.
We will probably take the test in the next few weeks. Is there a reflector
that deals with topics for beginners in this great hobby ?? I have enjoyed
reading all the posts on this list and have even picked up a few things. It
would be great however, to get some more basic information concerning
radios, antennas and operating practices.

The information that is already out there is fantastic and plentiful but to
a noewcomer can be very overwhelming.

If anyone has any suggestions, they would be greatly appreciated.

TIA

Larry

Hello,

I just learned from Steve 9G5BQ that he has decided to enter the
ARRL DX Contest this weekend as an All Band entry.

This because Steve could not have the 6 el. monobander for 20 meters
available this weekend.

9G5BQ QSL: PA3GBQ (CBA or buro)

73' es GL in the contest this weekend.

I would try both... Many times I "forget" to look in the US band as often
as I should...

Good luck,
