The rule probably should read "100 points per transmitter
classification" or something like that. We have the same situation in
our (W9CEQ) operation. We have run 7A many times, but in addition to
the 7 stations operating at any given time, we have an 8th station
sitting idle waiting for transmit time, a Novice/Tech station, VHF
(as you mentioned), and packet.

Seems like the bonus is aimed at crediting for emergency power
capabilities demonstrated (I think 4 generators and hundreds of feet of
carnival cord demonstrates some capability), but the rules don't
really say that.

In fact I claimed 800 points one year for 7A + Novice/Tech and it
came out in the results as 700.

Billy should touch up the rules and clarify. By the way, the Field
Day rules downloaded from ARRL show the date as "3rd weekend in
June." Everyone should be aware it is the 4th weekend in June. And
it is also NOT defined as the last weekend in June, although it
usually is (last year there were 5 weekends in June).
