I have been notified by the Chairman of the JARL Contest Committee
(JA3ATJ) that the committee has reconsidered the disqualification of 77
contesters in the 1996 AA CW Contest and that they will stand by their
original ruling. Those who were check-logged will remain check-logged.
The good news is that as a result of this controversy, the JARL has
created a web site in English with a page devoted to the AA. Also the
contest committee intends to re-evaluate their log examination procedures for
the AA Contest.
