KC5AJX.....if your callsign is not catching the operators attention with
the Kilo Charlie Five part what makes you think the other part of your call
is better at doing it?
It is not rate fanaticism...it is proper operating technique.....or are you
okay with WNBC just saying BC?
If you feel your call is too long there is an easy solution....although it
will not make your signal any louder or easier to copy by the other
station....get a 2X1 or 1X2 !
Your approach is unfortunately one which has been fostered within the DX
community and the list operations and it has made ssb operation intolerable
to many...this is a shame.....
Do the right thing man, sign your whole call....if you are not breaking the
pileups, don't blame the long call that FCC gave you, work on a better
antenna!
