But, "everybody" is not a collective entity; it's a large group
of individuals who aren't sharing their feelings with the
collective group.  Some might feel some angst or pain when
hearing their own call being sent to them by the station they are
working, but most probably accept it and even appreciate that
they, too, know for sure that it is they who are being worked and
not someone below them or slightly off-QRG.

"Everybody" will be slowed down on an equal basis, so it only
matters to "everybody" that station works.

Also, the operator can elect to throw in the other station's call
selectively in any crowded frequency situation and then not use
it where the frequency is clear and there is little or no
question as to whom is working whom.

I'll take the rate slowdown over NIL's any day.
