Subject: WRTC2000 teams selected
The RAC Contest Committee has selected the two Captains for the
Canadian participants in the World Radio Team Contest(WRTC) to be
held in Slovenia in July, 2000. The WRTC2000 Organizing Committee had
allocated two Team positions to Canada and requested that RAC, as the
national society, select the Teams.
The RAC Contest Committee is pleased to announce that the two Team
Captains for WRTC2000 will be John Sluymer VE3EJ and Dale Green
VE7SV.
Both John and Dale have extensive experience at past WRTCs and are
well known within the contest community. John has selected Jim
Roberts
VE7ZO(ex VE3IY) as his teamate and Dale has chosen Gary Caldwell
VA7RR
(ex VE7NTT).
All of the participants in WRTC2000 will be responsible for their own
expenses.
The Committee would like to extend its thanks to all of the applicants
not only for their interest in WRTC2000 but for supporting contesting
in Canada.
