Announcing the 2000 Dayton Hamvention(R) Contest Forum
The Contest Forum will be held Saturday, May 20, 2000 from 1:00 to 4:00 PM
at the Meadowdale High School auditorium.
The speaker lineup is as follows:
1:00 "Life-cycle of a Contest DXpedition" - Paul Young K1XM/H44MX and
Charlotte Richardson, KQ1F
1:30 "Please repeat everything (QRP Contesting)" - John Crovelli, W2GD, and
Ward Silver, N0AX
2:00 "Operating Mechanics" - Pat Barkey, N9RV
2:30 "North vs. South in CQWW CW 1999" - John Dorr, K1AR, and Bill Fisher,
W4AN
3:00 "Impact of Certain Operator Skills on Contest Outcomes" - Dick Norton,
N6AA
3:30 "Two World Records in One Year - CN8WW" - Gerd Richter, DJ5IW
There will also be a few surprises. For example, there is an unconfirmed
report that the Forum will be visited for the first time in many years by a
certain gifted individual with extraordinary abilities to read minds and say
sooths, among other things.
