Why is this true?  Golf, even at a professional level with serious money on
the line, is very competitive, but players are above all, honest.  Without
integrity, the plaque and certificate is nothing more than wood and paper, and
given the investment in equipment and time, mighty expensive wood and paper at
that.

Sort of like paying someone to climb Mt. Everest for you, then displaying the
certificate of achievement on your wall.  Not much respect in that ...
