[CQ-Contest] 2003 WPX SSB - Non-NA Final Claimed Scores

Hello Peter (and everyone else)

This question comes up frequently as new people subscribe to the
major contest related reflectors. (In fact, I've pretty much developed a
form letter response when asked directly.) Since this came through
the reflector, I am going to answer to all.

The contest summaries you see posted here and on 3830 are entirely
unofficial and have no connection to the contest sponsors. The data
is collected by a Web Score page developed by Bruce WA7BNM and
are "claimed" scores (i.e. raw data before log checking). This is the
cyber extension to the traditional post-contest gathering on 3830KHz.
All major contests and a number of minor tests are supported.

When you send your log to the contest sponsors, we don't get any of
that information (though some sponsors sometimes check
the summaries to see if any major scores are still outstanding) and
that data will NOT show up in the summaries. However, rest assured,
if the sponsors robot gave you an "OK" message, you should make the official
results when they are eventually published.

In order to get your scores into the summary, you will need to fill out
the appropriate form at http://www.hornucopia.com/3830score/. This
page will also send your score to the 3830 reflector saving you the effort
of making a separate post to that forum. Neither the 3830 or CQ-Contest
reflectors accept logs - always send logs to the contest sponsor at the
address indicated by the contest sponsor.

If any questions remain about the contest summary process, I would be
happy to answer them via direct email.
