i look at the spotting clusters as a shortcut when S&P'ing.  if i see a mult i 
might need, then sure, why not got for it.  if it turns out to be incorrect, 
and i already worked the station, i should know that is part of the "game"

then again, i enjoy being an armchair detective and seeing if information pans 
out or not.  and of course, i have zero contest experience using a spotting 
cluster.  i have used them to listen to dx and they are worth their weight in 
gold.  how long does it take to chase down a spot anyway?  30 seconds at most?
