Hi.
I've been asked several times by "civilians", ... what is this "radio
contest" thing you're talking about? It's so tricky to try to explain in
the two minutes or so that you have, and even more, to put it into the
larger context of amateur radio in general.
Has anyone written an article for non-amateurs that would clearly explain
what we do, and how it fits into its niche within amateur radio? Can you
point me to it online? If not, I'm going to lean on a prefessional writer
(and contester) friend (and you know who you are, mister), to produce
something that tells people why we do the strange things that we do.
