Hello All:
REALLY GOOD NEWS - this is the last daily update.
We have gotten lots of comments about the MOBILE WINDOW that we announced in
yesterday's daily update message.
One person asked if mobiles are going to "listen up" if fixed stations are
being asked to stay above 035 kHz. The answer is NO. By "gentlemen's
agreement", CW mobiles are being asked to stay below 035 where anyone can work
them on
the mobiles' own frequencies. Fixed stations are being asked to stay above
035, which means that the fixed stations should run their own pileups above
035.
The same applies for the SSB frequencies.
TIDBITS:
When last heard from, the KU8E-K4BAI mobile team from GA and W5WMU/m from LA
were both heading for the Florida border. These "outsiders" were issued
Florida visas in return for their promise to be QRV from FL on Saturday.
W7SE was overheard tonight on 20m tellling someone that he fully intends to
work all 67 Florida counties from Wyoming. Walt promises full dedication to
the FQP since his xyl is out of town.
Reports are coming in that some 2003 FQP plaques were received today, tnx to
Bill, K4XS. Bill's timing is impecable!
And for anyone who has just tuned in, all you need to know about the Florida
Qso Party can be found at www.floridaqsoparty.org.
GOOD LUCK EVERYONE. AND TO THE MOBILES, DRIVE SAFELY !!!
