I remember that being a problem and the reason was - underpowered processor that could not cope with DSP adjustment and CW sending at the same time. Yes, this was addressed in the latest update. If I'm not mistaken, my MP also disabled most RX adjustments during TX, but it's been a year since I last used it so I'm not 100% certain about that. 05/18/04 Version 1.370 - Modified PBT/BW and HI/LO Knob routines to prevent changes while in transmit. Ten-Tec continues to update Orion with both bug fixes as well as implementing improvements. An example of the latter is lowering the minimum Spot Pitch setting from 300 Hz to 100 Hz. This was a big deal to me because I often use a low pitch (250 Hz) for extremely weak signal DXing on 160. The Beta test team includes several contesters and Ten-Tec is listening, which is more than I can say for some other manufacturers who stonewalled issues like key clicks for ~15 years. :-(( 73, Bill W4ZV _______________________________________________ CQ-Contest mailing list CQ-Contest@contesting.com http://lists.contesting.com/mailman/listinfo/cq-contest |
