Hi, The North American QSO Party CW Contest is this weekend: 1800Z, Aug 7 to 0600Z, Aug 8 Some reminders and updated info regarding this contest: Maximum power: 100 watts output (there is no high power category in the NAQPs) Team Registration: All teams must be registered prior to the start of the contest using the form available at: http://www.ncjweb.com/cwnaqpteamreg.php Log Due Date: August 21, 2004 (14 days after the contest) Log Submission: Preferred Method: Use the web form available at: http://www.ncjweb.com/cwnaqplogsubmit.php This form is designed to upload your Cabrillo log directly to the log checking database. The primary reason to use this form instead of e-mail is that it eliminates e-mail delivery problems and provides you with immediate confirmation of receipt, or a list of Cabrillo formatting problems with your log. Other methods: E-mail to: cwnaqp@ncjweb.com Use Web-to-Cabrillo form available at: http://www.b4h.net/cabforms/naqpcw_cab.php Logging Problems: The most common Cabrillo formatting problem is with the inclusion of the name used in the sent exchange. If the QSO lines in your log look something like: QSO: 14000 CW 2004-08-07 1800 WA7BNM Bruce A Horn CA N4PN PAUL Ga you haven't properly configured your contest logging program. The QSO lines should look something like: QSO: 14000 CW 2004-08-07 1800 WA7BNM BRUCE CA N4PN PAUL Ga Also, please pay attention to the CATEGORY: line in your log. It states the power level used during the contest. If it contains HIGH instead of LOW or QRP, we will assume you used more than 100W during the contest and will use your log as a check log. Proper Cabrillo formatting for the NAQPs is described at: http://www.ncjweb.com/NAQP_Cabrillo_Spec.txt Preliminary results of the January 2004 NAQP CW Contest will be posted sometime this weekend (when I return from vacation) at: http://www.ncjweb.com/cwnaqpresultsjan2004.txt Similar info for the NAQP SSB Contest: Contest: 1800Z, Aug 21 to 0600Z, Aug 22 Team Registration: http://www.ncjweb.com/ssbnaqpteamreg.php Log Due Date: September 4, 2004 Log Submission: http://www.ncjweb.com/ssbnaqplogsubmit.php E-mail Log: ssbnaqp@ncjweb.com Web-to-Cabrillo: http://www.b4h.net/cabforms/naqpssb_cab.php Preliminary Results (will be posted before the SSB contest): http://www.ncjweb.com/ssbnaqpresultsjan2004.txt Have fun in the contests. 73 de Bruce, WA7BNM (bhorn@hornucopia.com)
