Quack Notes on Rush

I rembember the first time that K7VPF aka (K7JA) came up to RM at my
invitation for a WW test, and in the briefing prior to the start Rush said
The top phone operator I have every heard is K3EST and he had something like
180 EU's tops in a run.
Rush just stood on the stairs with his mouth hanging, and kept jumping down
to grab another 40 Q's (CQ paper log sheet fer you youngesters) as Chirp
kept filling them up to about 220 or so the first hour.

I spent quiet a bit of time on the top of 170 ft. towers and Rush could be a
bit " overwhelming" He did pay me a nice compliment one time after we were
back down he said I was also hell to work with but he had to Pay attention
because I was right about what we were doing too much of the time to ignore
. That was the Home brew 3 element 40 that came down thru the roof of the
car port in the big storm.

It will be a long time if ever that another comes by to do from any part of
the country what Rush was able to do from the Northwest.

RIP OM and CU in DX ??? whatever it is.

Quack aka Rex
