Some observations:
* For WRTC competitors, there are double multipliers. If you work an
HQ station, it counts for both the HQ mult and the country mult (which is
not the case in the generic IARU contest rules.) How will this affect
operating strategy?
* There will now be four declared "winners" of WRTC:
- the team with the highest overall score.
- the team with the highest CW score.
- the team with the highest SSB score.
- the highest scoring M/S effort.
This will surely affect the competition as some teams focus on one
mode or the other.
* There will be 10-15 multi-single high power operations going on. These
seem to be intended to be at established Brazilian stations, with the
inequities of equipment, location, antennas, etc. that you would expect.
M/S teams muct each have at least one foreigner, at least two Brazilians,
and no more than five operators total. To me, this would seem to be kind
of an "exhibition" category sideline to the real event, but it seems to
be given equal status in the rules to the "real" event.
