There was a period of anticipation but it appears that the Vraka Men, aka
Stavros 5B4AFM/M0BBB, Marios 5B4WN/G0WWW, have suffered a serious problem
with their Vrakas and have not entered a score. (I believe there was some
kind of conflicting station use that kept them off the air and waving their
Vrakas in frustration.) Having given them every opportunity to send in the
score, the official results are hereby entered into the record of Contest
History...

Overall winner - ON5ZO, The Belgian HF Devils (LP) - 610,200
US winner - N5DO, Poor Boys from Way West Texas - 592,059

ON5ZO, Belgian HF Devils: 610,200 (operators ON5ZO and ON4CCP)
N5DO, Poor Boys from Way West Texas: 592,059 (operators N5DO and KE5OG)
OH6T (by OH6UM and ???), Pasi and the Puppets: 558,624 (operator explanation
to follow)
N7WA, Sleepless in Seattle: 318,420 (operators N7WA and N7ZG)
K8AJS, League of Extraordinary Gentlemen: 282,600 (operators K8AJS and N8IW)

Congrats to the Belgian HF Devils who ascend to world-wide supremacy after
two valiant efforts in 2003 and 2004! The Poor Boys from Way West Texas
also successfully defended their US championship in a repeat win.

Should conditions have been better, I think team Sleepless in Seattle might
have made things hot for the Poor Boys!

Stay tuned for more information about Pasi and the Puppets.

On to WRTC-2006!

73, Ward N0AX
