01 August 2005
It's only been 3½ months since the 2005 MiQP and the final results are out
on the MiQP Web Site http://www.miqp.org. August has always been our goal,
but there never seemed to be enough time if we were going to do things right.
This year things just came together. Despite a record number of 239 logs,
the logchecking process went quickly, thanks to fewer problems with
incomplete entries and the steadily growing numbers of electronic logs.
New for 2005 in the on-line results is that a printable version of the
results (in .pdf format) is available. We're also making available for
download the Excel spreadsheet that was used to categorize and rank the
scores. (Think of it as a poor man's searchable database :-))
Congratulations to the winners:
MI Single-Op High Power: KK8I
MI Single-Op Low Power: N8TC
MI Single-Op QRP Power: N8NM
Non-MI Single-Op Eastern: K5OT
Non-MI Single-Op Western: K0RI
MI Mobile Solo-Operator: W1NN/m
MI Mobile Multi-operator: K8MR/m
MI Multi-Op Single-Xmtr: W8PIF
MI Multi-Op Single-Xmtr: K8XXX
High Score MI Club: M&M ARC
Congratulations to all of the winners.
If you read the write-up you'll see that the 2005 MiQP was a record setter
in many ways. This is thanks to all the operators who got on and made MiQP
QSOs, who talked their friends into getting on, and spread the word about
MiQP. MiQP 2006 is only 8½ months away; take time to soak in this year's
results, but then let's plan to continue the growth in 2006
Don't forget to look for many familiar MiQP callsigns during the Ohio QSO
Party, August 27, 2005, http://www.oqp.us, also sponsored by the Mad River
Radio Club. Come join in the fun!
73,
MiQP Committee
