After not being able to get a fix on it, the VR telecom authority has
closed its file, so I've reported it again - now case #7386.

NZART (ZL) has since reported to IARU R3 that this looks to be
coming from somewhere like Hainan & 240 from here along with
reports from ZL4, W7, JA3, HS & 9M6 tend to support that. On
80 it is heard from here well past sunrise & it tends to switch off
at a time that would be right for somewhere a little west of here.

Not likely to be heard as far away nowadays is a similar signal
around 28.7 Mc - reported by RAST (HS) & probably from Xisha
(Paracels).

If you hear these things, please report them to your local telecom
authority & IARU member-society monitoring service coordinator.
40m for many of us has been a lost cause since before IARU
(sorry EU if WAE CW is the same).

73, VR2BrettGraham
