Hi All and Ken:

I kindly ask you all to wait for the AUCTION RULES accordingly with previous
announcements and with the rules.
I totally disagree with the way that Ken is approaching the subject.
This behavior is not adequate with the way the Committee is answering all
the questions.
We don't accept this kind of attitude.
Even considering that Ken is totally confused, and aiming to avoid future
misunderstandings and in respect to all friends who received the e-mail, I
will make some necessary comments.
1) The PRELIMINARY SELECTED TEAMS is clearly defining that is preliminary
and includes ONLY for
Regional Regular Teams and YT Teams.

2) RD3AF immediately after the announcement of the rules and specifically
the Sponsored Teams, has subscribe himself as a candidate for the
auction. As you all can see in AUCTION RULES to participate in the process
you must subscribe as a candidate. So Vlad is doing the right think and we
are simply list his call on our page and not on the PST. You are simply
guessing that we are going to have on the SPONSORED TEAMS more than one TEAM
by country.
I can anticipate that you are again totally wrong.

3) The announcement of the Selected List was clearly indicating that is a
PRELIMINARY SELECTION.
The YT sponsored by YASME is nothing to do with the sponsored Team
and nothing to do also with the PST.
This a addition to the original teams. Before you judge you must
READ FIRST.
This in our judgment, was a brilliant idea of YASME to motivate the
young generation and we decided to increase the number of the teams.
We are not taking place of any one of the other competitors neither of
the Sponsored Teams.
4) We also will have another special Team representing the YL. We are
creating a new slot for that to have the LADIES attending the
WRTC2006. Also they are not taking place of any other regular Teams.
        Are you also against that?

5) This is not the first change of the rules, and is not going to be the
last one. It is our duty and commitment to change for better if is
needed to act in benefit of the WRTC 2006 and we will continue to do
so.
6)This is not my way to answer questions, but I´m forced by the
circumstances to be clear about this subject.
My apologizes for the inconvenience.

Assunto: [CQ-Contest] WRTC 2006 Sponsored Teams

The WRTC 2006 Rules state the following:

3) Selection Criteria II - National Sponsored Teams:
WRTC2006 will select three National Sponsored Teams by an Internet auction.
The three teams with the highest total value of sponsored bids in the
auction will be selected. The two members of the team must be of the same
nationality as defined by National Teams.
Basic conditions and limits:
???The auction will be done via PAYPAL or equivalent system via Internet
???Maximum of three sponsors per team, including the team members
themselves
???A single entity cannot sponsor more than one team.
???The three winning teams must be from different countries
???The selected teams will participate in the event on equal terms with the
other Regional National or Bi-National Teams, Special National Invited
Teams, and Bi-National Young Teams.
???Minimum bid US$ 12,000 American Dollars by each Team bid will be
required.
???In due time WRTC2006 will announce the detailed rules for the auction.

Now, low and behold, in looking at the list of applications, there is a
sponsored team with members from TWO DIFFERENT countries. Magically the
rules have changed to accommodate the "old boys" network.

You can argue the auction rules haven't yet been posted. But why this change
months after the rules were posted? The "old boys" network at work.
