It is not as much the call as the station.  K's I think are more prevalent
because of the timing of one of the "vanity/chose your call" periods.
Kilowatt, Norway/November, Whiskey/Washington.  NA7XX has placed 3rd in SS
and 4th high claimed in WPX.  The NA prefix does through off some DX
stations.  Most of the corrections are with the N in the call.  K5ZD, N2IC,
K0RF, W0UN, N2NT, W7WA have all been at the top of the heaps.

Find a call you like and that have strong phonetics if SSB is your main mode
would be my suggestion.

What is the best 1 x 2 prefix to have for contesting-K, N or W?  It seems
like many of the contesting stations have K 1 x 2 calls, but is that
actually seen as the best contesting prefix?
