Another unintentional fall-out of sending out a mass mailing might be that you 
get black listed as a Spammer with your ISP or others. I prefer the thanks for 
the Q via LoTW and eQSL... or a fist full of crisp twenties sent direct to my 
QRZ.COM postal address. ;-)

I have a thought.  It goes "please don't do this".

I made around 900 QSOs in SS CW.  I would rather not have 900 e-mail
messages.  And I made over 3400 QSOs in the CQ WW SSB. Even if I
don't read any of them it would take a while to clean up my inbox.
Besides, thanks are not necessary - it was my pleasure to work you.
