Steve,
We've been replacing every lamp in the house that gets more than
occasional use with compact fluorescent lights and I notice no
change in the general noise level - in spite of a wire antenna
that runs directly over the roof and an R5 vertical mounted to
the eves in about the middle of the house.
The most recent additions have been 120 watt (equivalent) reflector
floods. All of the table and desk lamps are now 60 and 100 watt
equivalent lamps. I've been using the generic (low cost) lamps
from Home Depot, etc. and not concentrating on "brand" names like
Phillips, etc.

... Joe, W4TV
