Most contesters use a logging program that generates the Cabrillo output
file.  It is possible to do it by hand, but I wouldn't want to.  Check out
one of the many free log programs.  I recommend N1MM Logger at:
http://www.n1mm.com/ but there are many others.  Using a good logging
program makes operating in a contest much easier, and makes the log
submission a breeze.
