Hi Barry,

Which device are you using?

There are quite a few PCMCIA-to-RS232 converters around but they don't 
look to be too cheap.  If your laptop computer has PCMCIA slots, you 
might consider that. I saw a couple doing a Google search that had two 
serial ports on DB-9 connectors coming out ot the card.
