SO6R can be easily done with present digital technology sampling 30 MHz with
16 bits.

Six DDS/NCO IC could be used to generate 6 separate data streams for each
band.

SDRIQ works on single channel with PC USB interface.

 

My 1991 experience with contest robot was humble and scaring at the same
time seeing the future.

There would be tremendous increase in 48 hours CQ calling stations with
second radio picking up all the remaining stations.

We got similar QRM conditions here in small S5 on VHF with few stations
using several fixed pointing antenna systems.

 

Let the best software win :-)  Just like in computer chess.  

Unpredictable ionosphere remains.  Until cheap home sounders are offered.

 

MFJ understood all this long time ago claiming that hams just integrate
systems!  And he sold a lot of components.
