Hello Trent!

The Proset does not have a capacitor in the microphone cable.

The capacitor value used in the Heil Icom adapter cable is 1 uF. It is a
polarized tantulm capacitor. Locate it in series with the center conductor
of the microphone cable with the positive leg towards the radio (or sound
card).

QUICK ANSWER ? Does the Heil Proset Headset have an isolation capacitor
built in to allow it to be used in a Sound Card - if no what is the
recommended value ? Just want to try out one tonight in the IARU ..
