My first QSO and QSL from Desecho was for KP4AM/D in 1979, 3 days after 
it became an official DXCC entity. I can assure you that the excitement 
was such that I did not care what the call was...I had worked a new one 
that most of the world was still howling for. Boy, do we need some 
sunspots!!
