KH6/N6RZ will be active in the CQ 160-Meter CW Contest
January 29-31, 2010

Dave Rowley, N6RZ, of Santa Cruz, California died in April 2009. He had
battled with Hodgkin's disease for more than 30 years.
He was a ham's ham -- DX'er, 160 meter enthusiast for nearly 50 years,
inveterate scrounger, troubleshooter, rag chewer, funny guy, and welcoming
friend.
On January 15, 2010, the FCC reassigned the N6RZ call sign to the Fongo Hill
Radio Club. Charter members include XYL Kerry Rowley N6SFO, Rob NH6V,
Oliver W6NV, Lloyd KH6LC, Bruce N6TU, and Alan K0AV.
In honor of Dave, N6RZ (SK) and his long time enthusiasm for operating 160
meters, his call will soon be activated by the Fongo Hill R.C.
Dave's long-time close friends Lloyd KH6LC, Rob NH6V, and others will be
active as a multi-single operation in the upcoming CQ 160-Meter CW Contest
from KH6LC's station on the Big Island, Hawai'i signing KH6/N6RZ.
