Good, old days with tubes in TX and VFO running on lower frequencies generating
less wideband noise.
I tried years ago to fix FT-1000D for VHF transverter but found wideband TX
noise being only -80 dBc.
Poor TX IMD due to 13,8 V PSU together with TX WB noise are worst offenders in
these SDR days.

P.S. We used vertical dipole far away from Yagi's tower at OI2HQ on 15 m CW in
