IT's ALIVE... ;the "nutty, radio crazed, but huggable radio guy" has arisen...
and it wasn't even that much of an
effort in the 160 contest. But.. if it is measurable by the amount of fun, this
one was a success.
I missed KH6AT... he tried mightily, but didn't get 'er done. We tried during
his grey line peak, but it wasn't to be.
No JAs with enough strength to even try, and that was note-able, as was not a
single entry from the 1s states.... not one.
a few were heard, and a few were called, but none made it. I even heard N9NE
TWICE.. but missed him both times... nutz. Along with other notables, missing
from the log.
The antennas were in order... I thought... in time for the start, but that
fell apart quickly, with one of the tuners leaving the operating status
quietly, but effectively. So... down to two.. the second night, the vertical
left with a resounding note of silence... only silence, matched and all.. but
no hear to it. to either end of the circuit.. so something will be happy to be
found there.
The last antenna, proved to work the whole time, however, with the lack of
switchable listening, and the very noticable direction and arrival angle
changes, both nights, I think I'll attribute the missing of 200 Qs to the
antennas, .... well.. it couldn't possibly be me.. right? well.. that's my
story... k? And I'll stick to it, now.. that I am rested and ... wait.. isn't
there another test this coming weekend?
  I'm ready... let's do it..
Besides.. I need another test to finish another radio... huh? .. oh.. I was
working on a K2... and have it ready for the next calibration step, now. So.. I
need another test to move it along.

What? oh.. the final numbers.. ok..
197Qs,51 Mults, and 20k....

And a whole bunch of fun... So.. thank you to each of you that I got to log,
because it is your ears that are very good. QRP takes both..
of your ears. Thank you,
Hope to see you next test, and especially in the CQ test in Jan.
