Dick,
I did the same analysis for ARRL DX as G3SXW but went further than he did by
breaking the results down by regions of the world. Our numbers are slightly
different so I'm not sure where Roger got his data. Mine came from queries
to the contest results database on the ARRL contesting website. From what I
can see activity is increasing in all parts of the world. The number of
entries from South America has doubled since 2002 on both modes. On CW the
number of entries from EU has also doubled. Entries from Oceania has tripled
on both modes. I also have this data in a spreadsheet if you or anyone in
the CAC would like a copy.
