Here in Wisconsin the difference would have been only 5 min 24 seconds.
The length of day does not change much day to day near the solstice.
By chance or by design, the 10M contest falls near the peak of the
Geminid meteor shower. During the low part of the sunspot cycle meteor
scatter contacts can account for a large portion of your contacts.
Leaving them as they are would be best.
