More specifically, Pete, it informs the owner of the pileup of the
spotting stations call and frequency, IN REAL TIME. Some will agree it
clearly violates the spirit and intent of the rules if not the letter;
others will argue it's the same as what has been permitted and condoned
for years. That's the debate. What's changed is that now it works fast
enough to be used to correct busted calls or solicit contacts in a
contest tempo.
