Hi all,
I would like to ask if any kind FT-5000 owner anywhere within a reasonable
distance from Boston (or coming there by car perhaps) would be willing to
help us (me and ES2RR) out and lend us a radio for WRTC competition in July.
We did have two agreements with two hams but one of them seems to be out of
reach now and we can't count on it any more.
Can arrange a pick up and happy to consider any ways to make up for the kind
help.
I include CQ-Contest this time, previously posted to FT-5000 reflector only
last year (see below).

Subject: Asking to borrow FT-5000 for WRTC
I am looking for any kind friends in this list located in the Boston area or
even further away who would be willing to lend an FT-5000 or two for
upcoming WRTC 2014 in July for ES5TV/ES2RR team.
It would be a hassle to transport those big radios from EU and back but we
do wish to use them as we don't seem to able to live without them anymore.
Best radios ever. Period:). And we sure wish to target even higher than the
silver medal we got in Russia so mediocre radios is not an option.
White lines and spelling mistakes on front panels are more than welcome:)
Roofing filter I can take with me if missing. Can come or arrange a pick up
from some reasonable distance I suppose. Or perhaps you (or someone close
by) are even coming to WRTC event.
We are happy to discuss the ways to make up the kindness besides offering a
chance to make WRTC history with us and be proudly mentioned on the QSL
card:)
