Dear contesters
A reminder that the HF bands will be alive with Oceania CW signals this
coming weekend (11/12 October) in the 2014 Oceania DX CW contest.
The conditions and activity in the PHONE section last weekend were
fantastic - the best that we have seen for a long time. Hopefully we will
see more of the same in the CW section. We are expecting a good turn out
from VK, ZL and YB stations - as well as stations from rarer Pacific
entities including YJ0X (Vanuatu), A35RT (Tonga), and ZK3Q or ZK3E
(Tokelau).
Please follow us on Twitter @ocdxcontest for the latest news about the
contest and DX operations.
Special note for PHONE QRP entrants: Our email robot was incorrectly
categorising QRP logs until around 18:00 UTC on 5 October. Please check your
log has been correctly assigned to the QRP category in the list at
http://www.oceaniadxcontest.com/oceania-dx-ssb-2014.htm. If necessary, you
can correct the category by resubmitting the log.
Here is an abbreviated summary of the rules for the 2014 contest:
