It has seemed like the QRZ Contest in recent years.  This year it seemed
to be
the 73 Contest.  Surely 'thanks' is sufficient, given the length of the Q

the fact you haven't exchanged names?

Decent contesting form seemed to rule this past weekend. I only heard
"please copy" a couple of times.

Admittedly since I wasn't working US stations, my sample may have been
biased. Maybe the DX stations working the US stations heard all kinds of
"please copy".

I remember when I did a lot of Digital at Field Day this summer and there
was a whole bunch of "please copy" in the digital exchanges! So maybe this
is a US-ism.
