If you like the look and feel of Win 7 or WinXP but it's time to upgrade the PC
for some reason, and Win8 is your only option, install the free program Classic
Shell. It is highly configurable and will provide you the look and feel of XP
or 7...your choice.

Win 8.1 flies. I can't speak to Win10 and won't be beta testing it but thought
I would share this info about Classic Shell. I have several amateur programs
running under it (plus a multitude of others) and all is well.

I'm running Win10 beta in a VM. If you're on Win 8.x it's worth doing,
especially if you're on a desktop. If you're on Win 7, I'd stay with it if you
like the 7 look and feel (which I do). N1MM Logger Plus is the only legacy ham
application I have working and it's just fine. It installed easily, just as it
does under Win 7, Win 8 and Win 8.1. I only have a few applications running
under 10 and not a single problem in 2 months of testing.

At this point, I don't know why I would move to Win10.

MicroSoft Win 10 will be a free upgrade from Win 7 or 8.1.

Any beta testers out there who have tried it?

How do legacy apps behave? Any gotchas?
