Whatever happened to Fresno?
Back in the '70s I was taken to Fresno by my San Francisco host Rubin
WA6AHF (SK) and foolishly was entered in the "QLF Contest". As a
commercial op, I was expected to be very competitive but was soundly beaten
by two 13-year-old girls, one of whom did an encore using both feet. To a
standing ovation. It was a humbling experience for me.
The toilets were excellent.
