This Arduino 8X1 is superb at controlling a DXE 5 KW box mounted at the base of the tower with CAT 5 cable 150 feet long. The Arduino is in the shack driven by the AUX output of the Ameritron RCS-12 which provides either automatic BCD selection from the Icom or manual selection by the RCS-12 push buttons. If you don't use the RCS-12 a small rotary switch with a wall wart will work. You can't beat the price.

Joe, there is a large family of such things available from China. I had one working to switch my RX antennas. I coupled the 315MHz RF to the inner condfuctor of 300 feet of coax and picked off the "wireless" signal at the other end. It switched fine, but I had trouble with other aspects of the setup - losses in the DX coupler for the relay power - and eventually scrapped the thing. The relays may be a bit light for transmit antenna switching, but should certainly work to switch other, heavier relays.

My experiment is written up in NCJ for May-June 2014

I was thinking of using one of these "AS IS" and if not strong enough to use them to control the actual heavier relays.

Did you get any responses to this? I am interested. I have a number of
antennas to switch and would like to get rid of the wires.

Having noticed a new change of tack by manufacturers to IP based antenna selection and a plethora of IP/ Relay driven devices reasonably priced on
Ebay -
Has anyone had any success using these items (EBAY) to control the likes of Six Packs or switched bandpass filters - and integrating with N1MM or
the like ?
