Agreed 100% Pierre!
The idea is to keep the contest interesting, with sweeps not impossible to
achieve.
Of course, the Maritimers would like different sections -- they have far
more hams than VY1/VY0.
And that proposal has gone nowhere.
SS is the Granddaddy of contests. Lots of history, lots to do with ARRL
Sections. The views of contesters don't seem to be too important these
days.
