Chuck helped me quite a bit for the GQP. It's not real hard to do after
getting used to it. In the CQX program there is a tool the create the
KML files You go to QP Tools > QSO Party Admin Tools >Prepare Activity
Website Files.
You need to prepare an data activity input file that looks something
like this format.

You then press the Prepare Files button. It will create a bunch of KML
files. This is the KML file Chuck is talking about using as an overlay
in Google Maps. You have to sign on to your Google account and choose
Maps and create a new map to be able to do this.

Once you have extracted the two files you can import the KML file into
Google Maps where the overlay will appear along with a menu listing the
counties. If desired, as you work a county click on the menu item of the
county and choose a color to fill in. Regarding real-time interface to
N1MM+ that is doable but is not yet available (at least not from me:>)).
Currently the coloring process would be easy but would be manual.
If you are going mobile and have APRS another use of the overlays is to use
them in conjunction with APRS.fi to show your location in relation to the
county boundaries.
Both of the above are relatively straight forward but if you have questions

Also note that the data in these files is also used to produce the County
Activity Maps <https://www.no5w.com/FQP_AnnouncedPlans.html> for FQP and
several other parties.
