Other responders have given good advise on the 80 meter delta loop. I'm
fortunate enough to have one with the apex at 210 feet (have access to a
300 foot Emergency Services tower on my property). I'm feeding it
horizontally with 1/4 wave of 75 ohm coax. At the shack the minimum SWR is
1.08 at 3525. 1.5:1 occurs at 3450 and 3608. 2:1 bandwidth is 300 kHz. I'm
primarily a CW guy but works it well on SSB with a tuner. Agree it's
probably best to feed it as a vertical at lower heights.
