The Winter CW NA Sprint is in the books, and participation was good and
spirited as usual. The formation of five-op teams certainly does help
"bring 'em out" and
band conditions were especially good on 40 and 80 meters. Depending on
where you live, twenty meters closed very early in the East, and "early" in
the Midwest, and "a bit early" on the West Coast.
If you took part in the Sprint this past weekend, please send me a photo of
you and your operating desk. I don't need any outdoor shots of towers
and/or antenna, but really could use some shots of the "op at his/her
work." We are interested in operators who not only are Sprint vets, but
also, and especially, for those just getting into the action. Don't worry
that your score was modest, or even small. We want to see "you."
Thanks much, and look for a summary of the preliminary results out from
Ward, N0AX. The full-bore story will be published in the NCJ and on the NCJ
website.
Please feel free to forward this email to your local contest club and other
contest reflectors.
73, Jim N3BB
