Speaking of Chairs,
And No I'm not selling this thing. A bud of mine is a long haul trucker.

They have seats that can't be made much better. they cost thousands. Yet he still had major soreness issues. He tried all sorts of cushions, but nothing helped. He was discussing this with his doctor and his doc said it's not the softness thats troubleing you is pressure on your tailbone.

He said to get a special cushion like this,

https://www.amazon.com/Car-Seat-Cushion-Pillow-Driving/dp/B075DRS4C9?source=ps-sl-shoppingads-lpcontext&ref_=fplfs&smid=A1WFZRQPDGQ55T&th=1

Where it has a cutout to take all the pressure off your tailbone.

I bought one for long car rides.  then a few years ago I started to use it during contests. and it helped a LOT.

But thats just me.

I agree we must all be respectful and kind to each other at all times.
That's what makes ham radio such a great hobby. You can work someone
far away and become close friends and visit each other's stations,
etc. Even if someone were selling a product, we all need to make a
living so we can eat (and buy radios). It is not a crime. As long as
one is honest and upfront about what he is doing and the group doesn't
become a commercial enterprise, I think we should be respectful to
everybody's needs and also do due diligence before investing in
anything.

As far as chairs go, I get sore unless a lot of padding. I found an
office chair on Amazon rated for a 500 lb person although I weigh less
than half that. Good engineering practice to get much higher specs
than you need. Many of these chairs are flimsy and fall apart or lean
after a short while. But this one has strong metal instead of plastic
frame and wheels and is going strong, Also wider and deeper than most.
Recommend getting one like that.

Not everyone's definition of major hours is the same.
You can say that again. Good friend W6GJB no longer contests, because
his back won't let him stay in the chair more than an hour or so.

Frankly, I'm put off by the negative energy around this topic. It's one
reason I've stayed away from social media.
