[CQ-Contest] Question for those with Samlex metered power supply

Dredging up this thread back up with a related question:

I find the white light on the Samlex SEC-1235P-M's meters to be
distractingly bright.  Has anyone put a resistor in the line to dim it?  If
so, would appreciate details (resistor value, etc.)
