When it comes to amateur radio, to me there are really only four requirements: 1. Obey your licensing laws/regulations 2. Comply with the rules for any award, contest, or other activity you take part in 3. Be respectful of others 4. Have fun What someone else thinks of, or how they choose to describe, your operating activities is irrelevant.
