Glenn-

I have a PK-88 which works just fine with all versions of CT I have tried,
up through 9.26. Some things you might try:

1. Make sure there is only 3 wires in the RS-232 cable to the TNC. This
means NOT using hardware flow control DSR/CTS/DTR etc. I don't know
what CT might do with the hardware bits. I use software flow control
always, no problem.

2. You mentioned you tried another PK-88, but didn't say if it worked
or not. If it does work, try comparing all the settings of the
two TNC's - looking for differences.

3. If you have another computer or dumb terminal, try checking what's
coming out of the port to the TNC when you type C <CALLSIGN> in CT.
Maybe there's some garbage characters.
